love and learn
Fulbari Montessori Cottage (FMC) was founded in 2000 A.D. It provides a secured and comfortable Montessori environment for children two years and above, where "Learning is Fun". The school is situated in the peaceful and secured environment of Nadipur in the heart of Pokhara. The school boasts a beautiful garden, playground, spacious rooms, fully stocked library, and an array of learning materials.
As Italy's first woman doctor and an early advocate of children's rights, Dr Maria Montessori developed a philosophy of education based on respect for the child and his/her needs, world known as the "Montessori Method".
The Montessori approach began almost 100 years above and is a remarkably modern approach. Montessori Method focuses on the individual educational needs and interests of the child. The method aids the development of the mental, physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual needs of the child, which he/she builds his/her future success and happiness based on Montessori attitudes and philosophies that are most consistent with the needs of the child in the process of developing and learning. As a result, children concentrate with enthusiasm and achieve a real and profound understanding of their work and most importantly cultivate their own natural desire to learn through the combined implementation of trained Montessori teachers and a stimulating environment.
The materials Dr. Maria Montessori designed are intended to help the child in his drive to sort out his experience and master the skills he needs. As a child becomes more and more competent, his confiednce is reinforced and he develops good feelings about himself. These materials have stood the test of time and the versions of them are found in many pre-schools.
At FMC, our mission is to provide child-friendly education based on the world-recognised Montessori method integrated with the Nepali curriculum for children aged 2-9 years old. Our preschool offers curious activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child's growth. Though cooperative play and creative activities, children reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
